What I do at Jump

I spend a lot of time thinking about how we engage with founders from our first meeting—whether it’s at an event or through our content—all the way through getting to know them during our investment process. Once we’ve decided to partner, I dedicate a significant amount of time working together.

I also put extra attention on working with our team at Jump to engage with founders in the early stages of our partnership, right after our investment. We aim to be as hands-on as possible, providing robust support for their growth without being overbearing.

If you’re building a company and need hugs and hard truths along the way, let’s connect.

Talk To Me About

My path to venture capital has been unconventional yet ideal for partnering with founders. I’ve spent my career as an operator across varied organizations and industries—from startups to corporations and everything in between. While it may seem eclectic in hindsight, this diversity of roles and business models honed my ability to assess markets, build frameworks, and evaluate the intangibles critical to the venture world.

This operational experience also shaped my mantra for engaging with founders: Hugs & Hard Truths. Having built companies myself, I have tremendous empathy for the exhilarating highs and difficult lows of entrepreneurship. Sometimes founders need a hug and a cheerleader. But I also believe in being direct and transparent, having candid conversations about setbacks and challenges. I’ve been in those trenches—I know the importance of celebrating wins but also hearing hard truths.

My circuitous path as an operator enables me to relate to founders across stages and sectors. By bringing empathy, pragmatism, and an unfiltered perspective, I strive to be the investor I wish I had during my own startup journey. If you’re building a company and need hugs and hard truths along the way, let’s connect.

Backstory

I’m passionate about empowering founders who are building the next generation of enterprise solutions. Having spent time developing technology for large companies, I’m keenly aware of the overlooked systems that are ripe for disruption by agile startups. I love partnering with driven founders who intimately understand their customers’ pain points because they’ve experienced them firsthand.

My goal is to work with these founders to amplify their vision and create go-to-market strategies that help them rapidly scale. I leverage my enterprise distribution experience to connect startups with the right partners, channels, and programs to gain an unfair competitive advantage. Whether it’s strategizing product-market fit or building an ecosystem of allies, I thrive on accelerating traction for entrepreneurs poised to transform legacy industries.

At the end of the day, it’s all about backing founders with bold ideas that evolve organizations from the inside out. I get motivated by being a force multiplier for startups challenging the status quo and bringing innovation to stubbornly analog industries.
