Generative AI is profoundly disrupting markets. We have the opportunity to rethink centuries-old industries and deliver radical productivity and creativity improvements. We also face the risk of abstracting away the human connections that underpin commerce and society.
Navigating this tension guides my investment interests, which span enterprise revenue technology, professional services technology, agentic infrastructure, and beyond. Where is GenAI creating transformational value? Where is it inadvertently destroying value? The answers to these questions will yield the most interesting insights — and, by extension, create the most durable businesses.
Some questions I’m especially interested in right now:
- How will tensions between AI-driven sales efficiency gains and human-driven trust-building change the enterprise buying experience?
- What unstructured data corpora can we finally structure, codify, and monetize to deliver breakthrough insights?
- How will professional services firms respond to LLM encroachment on their workflows?
Backstory
I began my career at two growth-stage marketing and revenue technology companies. These roles exposed me to the disruption of genAI, and I felt compelled to play a more active role in the shifts I was witnessing.
Long story short: I tested that instinct out while completing my MBA at Columbia and discovered a passion for venture capital. The incredible founders inspire me I get to work with every day and am humbled to have a small seat at the table.
And I believe that New York City is the best place in the world to build and invest in early-stage companies. NYC has always been a melting pot of culture, commerce, and innovation; these are the forces that will yield novel insights to big opportunities.
